TV Teacher
Teaching handwriting using a multi-sensory approach of visual demonstrations and rhythmic chants. It is designed to engage and direct the child's attention on a single chapter for approximately 5 minutes while exposing them to its rhythmic chant or song. Children are excited to watch and write because the visual instruction is fun and engaging. Many therapists have difficulty motivating their patients to attempt writing. The programs are tools that motivate children to write and learn. The repetition and memorable chants will help assist the child to carryover his or her new writing skill.

The Handwriting Without TearsĀ® curriculum draws from years of research to provide developmentally appropriate, multisensory tools and strategies. Our teaching orders move from writing readiness in Pre-K, to printing and cursive. The scope and sequence of lessons is based on research about how children learn best. Our program follows research that states children learn more effectively by actively doing, and by using the different senses. Our unique physical approach addresses posture, grip, and paper positioning.

Zones of Regulation

The Zones is a systematic, cognitive behavior approach used to teach self-regulation by categorizing all the different ways we feel and states of alertness we experience into four concrete zones.  The Zones curriculum provides strategies to teach students to become more aware of, and independent in controlling their emotions and impulses, managing their sensory needs, and improving their ability to problem solve conflicts.
